The Federal Aviation Administration said it has taken a number of steps to reduce the risk of collisions between helicopters and planes near Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas after an initial analysis uncovered “several immediate issues.

Following a crash in January, US authorities have been working hard to eliminate the chances of helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft coming together.

The Federal Aviation Administration says analysis in the wake of January’s crash between an Army helicopter and a passenger jet landing at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and has identified other airports where the risks of similar collisions are too high.
