Two sick patients suspected to be infected with Ebola were taken from an Upper East Side urgent care to the hospital by first responders in hazmat suits Sunday morning, law enforcement sources

Now, in an update, the investigation has led to a suspected norovirus infection as “the illness had spread quickly between family members,” sources said to the Post. It has not yet been confirmed that it is the norovirus. The patients had gone into the City MD when the scare sparked their urgent transfer.

A health scare unfolded in Manhattan on Sunday when two patients exhibiting symptoms resembling Ebola were transported from a CityMD urgent care facility on East 125th Street and Lexington Avenue to Bellevue Hospital.

Two residents were suspected of contracting ebola after coming in contact with a person had recently travelled to Uganda, where an outbreak has occured.
