It was little more than three months after being persuaded to appoint Ange Postecoglou that Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy triumphantly told a fans’ forum “we’ve got our Tottenham back”.

Tottenham's players are "angry" about how the situation surrounding Ange Postecoglou's eventual sacking was handled by the club's board, it has been claimed. Spurs confirmed in a statement on Friday afternoon that Postecoglou had been relieved of his duties "following a review of performances and after significant reflection".
