Referring to decisions taken by the religious committee of Delhi govt in a meeting in Nov, chief minister Atishi has written a letter to lieutenant governor VK Saxena and urged him to stop the demolition of places of worship in the capital.

A fresh war of words erupted on Tuesday between Delhi lieutenant governor Vinai Kumar Saxena and chief minister Atishi over the alleged order to demolish religious structures in the capital. According to an ANI report,

Delhi CM Atishi expressed concern over the Religious Committee's order to demolish religious structures, including temples and Buddhist sites, which she says are vital to the Dalit community's identity.

Refuting the Chief Minister's allegations, the Lieutenant Governor's office issued a statement saying that no religious structures or any temples, mosques, churches were being demolished.

Delhi Chief Minister Atishi on Tuesday wrote to Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena against alleged demolition of Hindu temples and Buddhist places of worship revered by Dalit community.

Delhi CM Atishi has urged Lieutenant Governor Saxena to reconsider orders for demolishing religious structures, including those significant to Dalit communities. She stressed the need for consultation with the elected government.

Delhi Chief Minister Atishi Tuesday alleged that an order was issued by a panel on the "directions of Lt Governor VK Saxena" for demolition of multiple Hindu and Buddhist religious structures, a charge refuted by the LG office as "cheap politics".
