Evacuations remain after a San Diego plane crash killed at least three people and injured several others on Thursday.

Fire and rescue officials say at least one person is dead and more fatalities are expected after a small plane crashed into a San Diego neighborhood, destroying several homes and cars.

A small plane crashed into a residential San Diego neighborhood early Thursday morning, directly hitting one home and spreading debris and jet fuel over more than a dozen others, officials said.
