It’s almost time. The Nintendo Switch 2 launches at midnight tonight, and shops across the country are getting ready to fling open their doors. Every Smyths Toys will be open from 12am, with a small amount of extra stock for anyone who fancies queuing.

Nintendo has reportedly begun shipping Switch 2 branded 'Out of Stock' signs to retailers, before the console has even gone on sale. Switch 2 is set to arrive in just two days — on Thursday, June 5 — and Nintendo is planning for demand to outstrip console availability.

If you weren't able to secure a Switch 2 console preorder, you'll have chances both in stores and online during launch week.
