George Clooney made his Broadway debut in "Good Night, and Good Luck," telling the story of pioneering reporter Edward R.

It explores themes of press freedom ... Jumping ahead to today's political landscape, Clooney said the play “feels more like it’s about truth, not just the press. Facts matter.” ...

The play transports viewers back to the 1950s but feels equally relevant in the 2020s with its themes of unrestrained political power, corporate timidity and journalistic integrity.

Clooney has some ideas of what look could come next ... the journalist who wrote the 1954 exposé piece on Senator Joseph McCarthy. The play is adapted from the 2005 movie of the same name.

The actor made Broadway history by presenting his Broadway debut on television, the first play to be televised live.
