The Guardians could sell as the trade deadline nears but MLB Network's Chris Young cautions the team against moving its veteran All-Star.

Count the Cincinnati Reds among the teams to talk with the Arizona Diamondbacks about third baseman Eugenio Suárez, arguably the most sought-after bat on the trade market. Suárez, of course, spent seven seasons with the Reds, meaning that this would be a reunion.

The Guardians are one of the more on-the-fence teams in baseball at the moment, and yet regardless of what happens between now and the July 31 deadline, the most probable scenario is that Cleveland will dip a toe in both the buying and selling directions.

And one of the names that is getting brought up a lot is Cleveland Guardians' All-Star outfielder Steven Kwan, a three-time Gold Glove Award winner that is an incredible contact hitter as well. Kwan was ranked second behind Arizona's Eugenio Suarez in ESPN's "Top 50 trade Candidates" list, published by Jeff Passan and Kiley McDaniel.

A trade deadline upgrade in the outfield could be in the cards for the Phillies, according to ESPN, which ranks Philadelphia as the best fit for Steven Kwan if he's dealt by the Guardians.

The Cleveland Guardians could make a variety of moves at this year's trade deadline. According to Jeff Passan, they've at least checked on the market for three stars.
