Despite a pedestrian stat line from Caitlin Clark, the Fever's star put on an unforgettable performance at the TD Garden for thousands of WNBA fans.

Late in the fourth quarter after sending a backdoor pass to Kelsey Mitchell, Clark grabbed the inside of her right leg and walked toward the opposite basket while visibly in pain. She put her head against the padding on the basket in frustration and then headed to the bench in tears.

Despite Indiana winning, this will feel like a defeat for many Fever fans, as star guard Caitlin Clark appeared to injure herself with about 40 seconds remaining in the game.

Fever's Caitlin Clark is expected to make her highly-anticipated return to the lineup on Wednesday against the Valkyries Wednesday.

Clark had another poor shooting night in her fourth game back from injury. But she closed the fourth quarter strong to put the Sun away in a close game.
