The bodies of all 67 people killed in the collision of an American Airlines regional jet with an Army helicopter have been recovered, officials said Tuesday.

The deadly D.C. plane crash salvage efforts continued on Tuesday. Officials said remains from all 67 victims have been recovered. Meanwhile, a cockpit voice recorder was recovered from a separate Pennsylvania plane crash.

Air crash investigations can take months, and federal investigators told reporters they would not speculate on what caused the collision between the Army helicopter and a jetliner.

Officials said on Wednesday they have positively identified all 67 people killed in last week's midair collision between an American Airlines passenger jet and a military helicopter over the Potomac River in Washington.

Officials gave an update on water recovery efforts days after American Airlines Flight 5342 collided with a U.S. Army UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter and plunged into the Potomac River. As of Sunday, the remains of 55 victims have been positively identified from the crash.
