The park surrounding the Zoo is large with plenty of places to enjoy a picnic lunch. Take a water bottle, but leave lunch in the car or have your picnic after the Zoo experience. (Eating before may be the better choice since there is a petting area. Kids won't be able to keep their hands clean!)
