Yes, as you are heading north on highway 61 about a mile before Split Rock there is a turn off that provides a great spot to park your car and a perfect view of the lighthouse on the rocky site. I have taken beautiful pictures from this outlook spot by zooming in on the lighthouse. Good luck.

Probably in the park; not sure about the Lighthouse - I doubt it and you would miss out on going inside some of the historic house and buildings. Worth a phone call.

If the flight of outdoor stairs are too much to get up to the lighthouse base, he can walk down the path a short way to see a nice but partial view without going down all those stairs. You can drive down to the beach and park in a lot. It is a short walk to the shoreline with a good view of the lighthouse from water level. The shore is loose gravel and rock.
