Highland Games celebrate Scottish heritage. Caber toss, mass bands playing, highland dancing, and Wee Bains are activities throughout the day. Food and Scottish items for purchase are available. Ireland, England, and Wales are also represented. It is a day of fun, food, and finding your roots, if that’s what you seek. Green Meade is a lovely setting with rolling hills and historic buildings.
Is there shade areas in this park? Thinking of going to to Irish Festival 6/15-17th, 2018. But I don’t tolerate the heat well at all. Suppose to be 85 degrees and sunny on Saturday in Livonia.

Sorry I missed your Q! By now you have found that there are lots of trees at Greenmead. I always take a golf umbrella to Highland games, though. It is Michigan, after all!
