Go to Christian's Pub on George Street to get Screeched In. Skipper Lukey is awesome! So engaging and entertaining. This was one of the highlights of my trip to Newfoundland.Full review by Terri S

Try an air b& b ..lot cheaper than hotel and plenty in downtown core ..I know of one on flowers hill ..walking distance to downtown

It is a very short street with a handful of bars. Early Aug would be busy with tourists and late Aug busy with university students returning to school.

Definitely head to George street for the pub scene. So much fun! If you are staying downtown it's walking distance.
