If that's too expensive and If you are hiring a car then you have lots of options (driving is real easy on the island - they do drive on the left which will be unfamiliar to a lot). AirBnb is worth considering as there are now a good number of holiday rentals available on the island. It's not too far from Sky Beach resort - I can't specifically recommend id - but I've been told a nice place for a cocktail. Also worth considering Harbour Island - that's a real tourist trap and requires water taxi but really beautiful place.
