We spent about 90 mins walking round the castle and visiting all the rooms/exhibitions etc. So I guess it does depend how long you want to wander, but I'd give yourself at least 90 mins so maybe 12:30? There's a shop to have a nosey in if you did finish the castle earlier than your afternoon tea was booked!
