Hello! Are we able to rent snorkel gear from the JMC dive shop on a daily or weekly basis? We are travelling to Savusavu in April staying near the JMC and would prefer to rent, rather than pack our own for this trip. Thanks :)

The weather is great in August - good visibility all year round (wind dependant). My husband is not a diver and he did (and a few others) accompany us to Namena marine reserve for a snorkelling trip whilst we did two dives. A cost is involved to enter the marine park for snorkelers as well as divers. If you are staying at the resort which the dive centres is attached too, they offer daily snorkelling trips free of charge that operate around the same time as the local dive trips. These trips are accompanied by the resorts marine biologist which is a great experience. As I said in my review the JMC dive centre is great and they certainly go out of there way to accomodate you. Enjoy

Hello, this is a question for the diving staff... I am a novice diver only having dived Fijian waters. I have not dived since Nov 2103 and understand I will need some sort of refresher course before diving again. I am returning to Savusavu in November this year and will be there for three days before embarking on the Tui Tai cruise. Whilst we will not be staying at Jean-Michel Cousteau resort I was hoping I may be able to access some sort of refresher course at the resort so I am fit to dive when I am on the Tui Tai. Can you please advise the best course of action I should take :) Looking forward to your reply Vicky
